If you just bought the new iPhone 4S and are hunting for a great aluminum case, you can always go and get a Vapor bumper from Elementcase or something from EXOvault. I know, they don't come cheap and the design might not be everyone’s taste. If you're the type of person that really digs Apple’s unibody design with those curved bezels and seamless borders carved from a single piece of metal - just like me - you have now a new alternative.
Jason Valalik and Chungming Ying have teamed up to bring to the public what they think is the best possible bumper style case for the new iPhone. The i+Case is made out of two anodized aluminum parts machined from the same metal block. These snug your iPhone 4 or 4S with tightly and don't add much weight/bulk to your gadget. As you were imagining, these are put together with some screws and come with it's own on-off and volume buttons in the same material.
What’s special about it? Like many other amazing projects I have talked about in the past, the i+Case is a Kickstarter project. If you are not familiar with the site, it only means this is a crowd-funded product where you pledge an amount to encourage the creators to bring their idea to life.
